About

Pocket Verdict started as a shared notes file between a few friends who kept recommending games to each other. At some point the notes got long enough that we figured we might as well put them online, so here we are — a small independent editorial team that plays mobile games and writes about them.,We don't take orders from studios and nobody hands us a script. Every game in the catalog is something one of us installed, opened, and stuck with long enough to have an opinion. If a game bored us after ten minutes, we say so.,How we pick titles is pretty simple: we watch what's climbing the charts, we listen to reader suggestions, and sometimes we just stumble onto something weird and interesting. Genre doesn't matter — a clever puzzle gets the same attention as a big open RPG.,The goal is to save you the twenty minutes it takes to figure out whether a game is worth your time. We're readers ourselves, and we'd want the same favor from someone else.

Matthias Vogel — Matthias has been reviewing games since flip phones had snake, and he still argues that a good control scheme beats fancy graphics every time.
